Remodeling in Beaverton

Portland’s Master Certified design-build remodeler. 20 years, 4.9 on Houzz, top 2% on Buildzoom.

Remodeling a home you plan to stay in is a big decision, and the biggest thing that determines how it goes is who is accountable for it. At C&K, one in-house design-build team carries your project from the first conversation through the final walkthrough, answerable to one budget and one timeline. There is no gap between the people who design your remodel and the people who build it.

We have been remodeling Beaverton and west-side homes for over twenty years, on everything from mid-century ranches in the older core to newer subdivisions on Cooper and Sexton Mountain. That range matters, because a remodel on a sloped view lot is a different project than one in a 1960s ranch, and we have done both.

Sexton Mountain Kitchen

3- sexton mountain

Custom cabinetry and quartz throughout

We renovated this kitchen around a sculpted plaster range hood and warm stained cabinetry, set against a marble-look quartz backsplash and a white subway tile surround. A soft gray island with a marble-look quartz waterfall-edge top and prep sink anchors the room, paired with a professional Dacor range and hardwood floors.

Renaissance Pointe Kitchen

4- Renaissance Pointe

White cabinetry with a bold graphic backsplash

In Renaissance Pointe, we built this kitchen around a striking black-and-white geometric tile backsplash, crisp white shaker cabinetry, and a dark wood range hood that anchors a professional gas range. A deep navy island topped in white quartz and lit by brass pendants gives the room its center, set off by black open shelving and hardwood floors.

West Slope Kitchen

5- West Slope

Natural cherry cabinetry and full appliance suite

On the West Slope, we built this kitchen in custom natural cherry cabinetry paired with black granite counters and a full suite of stainless appliances. A green glass mosaic backsplash and a lit stemware shelf add warmth and detail, while a built-in double wall oven, a stainless wine fridge, and a granite-topped island with seating make it as functional as it is inviting. It is a kitchen built for cooking every day and entertaining when the house is full

What We Know About Remodeling in Beaverton

8- beaverton design

Local knowledge on a landing page is easy to fake with a city description. What actually matters is knowing the realities that shape your project before design begins:

  • Permit jurisdiction: Beaverton projects fall under the City of Beaverton, but lots on the Cooper Mountain and Bull Mountain edges can sit in unincorporated Washington County, which changes the permit path. We confirm which applies before design.
  • Housing stock: mid-century ranches and split-levels in the older core, and newer subdivisions on Cooper and Sexton Mountain, each carrying different structural and layout realities.
  • Site conditions: sloped and view lots on the mountains bring foundation and drainage considerations that flat lots do not.
  • HOA and design review: newer developments often have design-review requirements we plan around from the start.

FAQs About Remodeling in Beaverton

How long do remodeling permits take in Beaverton?

It depends on the jurisdiction and the scope. City of Beaverton and unincorporated Washington County run on different timelines, and we handle the submission and manage the review for you either way, with a realistic schedule in hand before work begins

Can you remodel while we live in the home?

Yes, in most cases. We phase the work, set up dust control and protected zones, and keep as much of the home livable as the project allows.

What does a luxury remodel cost in Beaverton?

It depends entirely on the project and scope. Each of our service pages walks through the investment ranges in detail, and a consultation gives you a real number for your specific project. Start with the service page that fits what you have in mind.

Do you handle both design and construction?

Yes. We are a design-build firm, so design and construction happen under one roof and one accountable team, which is what keeps a project from stalling in the handoff between a designer and a builder.

Do you work on the Cooper Mountain side?

Yes. We work throughout the west side, including the Cooper Mountain areas, where we account for the sloped lots and the mix of city and county jurisdiction that come with them.
