Lloyd and his amazing team worked on our garage finishing project. We have a 3 car length deep garage that was unfinished. In this space we added a bathroom a bedroom and sectioned off the garage which created a mud room and a bonus room. It was a large project and from the get go C & K handled our project with the utmost professionalism, attention to detail and even some laughter along the way. Lloyd of C&K came to my home way out in Hillsboro, OR exactly on the appointed time and listened very carefully to my project needs. The experience with C&K was very professional in all respects. Lloyd Martindale (Owner) was very hands on and communicative throughout the entire project. Weekly schedules were created with the homeowner’s personal schedule taken into consideration. Any change orders were fully agreed to so there were no end of project surprises. Also impressive were Betsy Brandenburg or Brandenburg Studios Design who worked closely with us and C&K on the design elements of the project. Our circa 1960 bathroom was dated, cramped feeling, and somewhat of an embarrassment after already having most of the rest of the house remodeled since moving in 8 years ago. There were unnecessary soffits that lowered the ceiling over the bath and shower areas, a bright yellow bathtub, sink and toilet, tired looking cabinetry, and unattractive dated fixtures. We chose C&K Construction and Remodeling after interviewing several other contractors. We were most impressed by their presentation and felt the most comfortable with Lloyd Martindale, who manages the business processes for the company. Mark Perez was the most hands-on, hard working and onsite part of the partnership. He was always present on the job site, organized other specialized contractors, and often worked 12 hour days. We have been very happy with our choice of C&K. C&K worked with us and our designer, Betsy Brandenburg, who we brought in for help with design, materials and color selections. They advised, accommodated and gave us everything that we wanted to happen with our project. C&K offered several good ideas and provided a reality check on some ideas that we had which may have not worked well and/or would have cost too much. And they were able to adapt to small design changes that came up during the project. Both Lloyd and Mark were easy to work with.
